Montgomery Transport has been revealed as the first Northern Ireland-based haulier to be accredited for the DVSA’s Earned Recognition scheme. The Palletways member, based in Newtownabbey, achieved Earned Recognition founder member status in March of this year but the result has just been publicised. Earned recognition is a flagship DVSA scheme designed to drastically reduce the time wasted checking up on compliant operators in order to free up limited enforcement resources to improve road safety by focusing on the seriously and serially non-compliant.
The DVSA is to give an update on its earned recognition scheme at this year’s Microlise Transport Conference on 17 May.
