Fashion and lifestyle supply chain and logistics firm Bleckmann is expanding its UK operations with the opening of a major new distribution centre in Lutterworth.
The new warehouse, which has over 430 500 sq ft of floor space, is part of a drive to expand into the UK and international B2C and B2B channels.
Bleckmann, which is owned by Turkish logistics giant Netlog, says it plans to create at least 200 jobs at the DC, which is based at Magna Park in Lutterworth.
Mark van Onna, Bleckmann general manager of real estate, said: “We are proud to be opening this new site which is a big milestone to accommodate further growth of our business in the UK, even in these extraordinary times.
“With further planned investments in high-end automation on-site, we will provide our customers even greater flexibility and higher service levels, whilst growing their business.”
Tim Faint, Bleckmann general manager UK, said: “Expansion of our capacity in the UK will allow Bleckmann to assure enough space to scale-up and accommodate new business and future opportunities.
