Howard Tenens Logistics said its Sharpness site team in Gloucestershire had attained an AA rating in the BRCGS global food safety standard audit.

The BRCGS certification is a globally acknowledged benchmark, providing guidelines for overseeing product safety, quality, and compliance across both food and non-food supply networks.

The company said the process involved an assessment of its operational processes throughout the supply chain.

It added that the audit validated its commitment to quality and safety, and ensured manufacturers’ compliance with legal obligations as well as safeguarding end consumers.

Howard Tenens site manager Beth Powell, who led the team to attain the BRCGS rating, said: “I am incredibly pleased to announce that Sharpness have successfully secured an AA rating in our recent BRCGS audit.

“Whilst this has absolutely been a team effort, I would like to share appreciation for Shelley Blackwell, operations manager, who has owned BRCGS for the past two years, working hard to ensure we achieve exceptional results. Well done to the Sharpness team.”
