Former APC chief executive Syed Ziaullah has acquired Swindon-based parcels and pallet firm UK Shuttle for an undisclosed sum.
The express delivery business is a member of The Pallet Network as well as parcel network APC Overnight, and operates a secure warehousing site with pick-and-pack options for customers.
Ziaullah told MT the business is a good fit with his existing company, Action Express, based in Northampton, as both are well positioned to provide a reliable, customer-centric service to their respective local SME sectors.
He added that he would be looking to grow the business organically in the next 12 months, and has already invested in six new vehicles, as well as recently employing two dedicated sales people.
UK Shuttle’s strengths come from its strong network links, as well as its long-standing employees’ dedication to customers, Ziaullah said.
The company currently employs between 35 and 40 staff, and operates a 26-strong fleet.
