Whistl has added more than 100 new vans to its fleet in a deal worth £3m.
The former TNT Post has bought 104 Mercedes-Benz vans, choosing the manufacturer’s Sprinter and Vito models.
The company said it hopes the vehicles will reduce its fleet running costs by 25%.
The new vans are all to be fitted with Isotrak telematics, which Whistl currently uses across its HGV fleet.
Whistl has already started rolling out the new vehicles, which is scheduled for completion by the end of September.
Whistl chief executive Nick Wells said: “We are committed to investing in our business to improve efficiency and the quality of service we provide to customers. I look forward to seeing the new fleet on the roads in the coming weeks.”
