The steps transport and logistics firms can take to attract more young people into the industry will be outlined at a seminar session to be held as part of a Future Skills Theatre at the IMHX show at the Birmingham NEC on the morning of 24 September.
Young people, teachers and parents predominantly see logistics as “just trucks and sheds”, rather than an essential, dynamic, exciting sector that can offer great careers.
Steve Granite, CEO of Abbey Logistics and founder of Career Ready Think Logistics, and Ian Nichol, head of logistics at Career Ready will explain how they are proactively engaging with schools and colleges to encourage young people to “Think Logistics”.
