Suttons said it had listened to its drivers and invested £15m in comfy new Volvo tractor units, which are better suited to long distance and overnight journeys.

The first batch of 15 trucks have already been delivered into service in its fuels, general chemicals and waste sectors and 110 more of the larger tractor units will arrive over the course of the year.

The FH Globetrotters feature LED headlamps, adaptive cruise control, large fridge and freezer, microwave, bed and upgraded seat.
