Pallet-Track has recruited a new senior business development manager.
Drama graduate Kara Buckley is said to have a strong background in the logistics industry and will help the company's 90-plus network members realise their growth potential.
She will be offering training programmes, trouble-shooting and problem-solving as the business reveals "ambitious new expansion targets" for 2020.
“I’ll be involved in the direct selling on behalf of the depots that require my help, but my prime objective will be helping members unlock their own potential – I’ll be helping them to help themselves in this very competitive market,” Buckley explained.
“My background was originally stage management, so I’m better behind the scenes helping out, but I want to help change the cultural approach to sales.

"Many businesses see sales as a cost, but when you engage the right people, it can deliver 10-fold to the bottom line.
“Sales is an integral part of the business and those engaged in chasing new business need to feel part of that team. I want to use my energy and drive to help instil a sense of confidence in the businesses in whatever approach they take. We live in a digital world, but many of the deals in this sector are still done face-to-face over a cup of tea.”
Added Pallet-Track MD Nigel Parkes: “Kara is going to be a fantastic asset to the business. She has come in and hit the ground running with the kind of energy and enthusiasm that I am confident will deliver major benefits for the network’s future development.”
