Two-person home delivery specialist ArrowXL has promoted Jack Cannon to the role of business development executive, as part of the company’s ‘grow your own talent’ initiative.

Cannon will be responsible for expanding ArrowXL’s market presence, nurturing key client relationships and working with stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.

He has been a valued member of the ArrowXL team for nearly three years and brings a wealth of experience from various roles across the company.

Starting his journey with ArrowXL as part of the delivery crew, Cannon then moved into the warehouse, before joining the contact centre handling both inbound and outbound calls and serving as a senior advisor.

As the business development executive, Cannon will play a key role in driving the company’s growth strategy, ensuring that ArrowXL remains a leader in the logistics industry.

Initially the role was created as part of the ArrowXL apprenticeship scheme and has developed into an established role within the business development team.

Cannon’s appointment reflects ArrowXL’s ongoing commitment to ‘promote within’ wherever possible as part of their people development.

Commenting on his appointment Cannon said: “I was initially attracted to the role because of the opportunity to use my understanding of AXL’s operations and procedures in the customer onboarding journey. I look forward to creating a perfect match between AXL and their new customers.”

Nicola Waring, ArrowXL chief people officer, added: “We believe that people development is essential for the success and sustainability of our business, and that the best way to retain excellent colleagues is to invest in their growth.

“Promoting from within is a key part of our people strategy and Jack’s dedication to learning and continuous improvement, combined with his comprehensive knowledge of our business, positions him well to lead our business development efforts.”

Craig Kavanagh, ArrowXL sales director, commented: “Jack has been a dedicated and versatile member of the ArrowXL team for nearly three years and we look forward to seeing him apply his skills in new ways, helping us to continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients.”
