Matalan drivers at the retailer's Knowsley DC have won up to 6% in pay rises after the clothing retailer agreed to improve its original offer.
The pay hike follows a dispute last month which saw drivers reject a pay offer from Matalan after the retailer changed the deal at the eleventh hour, according to the GMB union.
After further negotiations a new offer was made two weeks ago which transport workers at Matalan’s Knowsley depot have accepted.
A GMB spokesman said: “The transport section at Matalan’s Knowsley depot have accepted the new offer of a 3% increase to cover rising inflation. Workers will also be receiving either 1%, 2% or 3% increases on top of the basic 3% increase.”
In its annual results last month, Matalan described the clothing market as “challenging.”
Matalan was unavailable for comment.
