The London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) has beefed up the security of its VN5 electric van by partnering with Locks 4 Vans, which offers bespoke solutions for commercial vehicles.
Working alongside LEVC’s engineers, the company has developed a set of locking products, tailored to the VN5, including hook locks, slamlocks and bespoke shielding.
Its hook lock operates independently and in addition to the VN5’s locking system to provide an additional mechanical deadlock and can be fitted to the cabin door, as well as the side and rear load doors, for added security.
The slamlock safeguards against a courier driver forgetting to lock any door when temporarily away from the vehicle and it said the internal latch shield prevents panel puncturing to access internal door mechanisms.
Joerg Hofmann, LEVC chief executive, said: “Our customers place enormous value in the security of their vehicle, which is why we have chosen to partner with a leading specialist, offering further peace of mind to our customers.”
