London City Bond (LCB) has had its contract with wine merchant Boutinot extended by six years.
LCB will continue to provide warehousing and distribution across the UK for Boutinot out of its bonded warehouse in Barking, where it manages a number of other recently won contracts with other wine suppliers including Ehrmanns, Burridges of Arlington St and Awin Barratt Siegel.
Boutinot’s logistics director, Peter Smith, said the company attributed its success partly to LCB’s performance during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympic Games last year.
LCB MD Alf Allington said: “Working with Boutinot over the last four years has been both productive and most rewarding and reflects today’s style of relationship that has developed between the merchant and their logistics partner.”
LCB's annual accounts to the year ended 3o September 2012 revealed that business from new and existing customers rose by 7%.
