Grays, West Thurrock-based Foley & Miles has taken delivery of six new MAN TGX tractor units., which have been put into operation on the firm's Crossrail delivery work.
The trucks were acquired through MAN Financial Services on a five-year funding package, and takes the operator's fleet to 48 trucks in total, with 16 of which are now MANs.
All the new MAN vehicles are fitted with a wide ranging array of safety equipment in order to meet Transport for London and Crossrail supplier compliance; including side facing safety cameras, side-scan detection devices, reversing cameras and alarms.
“We have a good history of operating MAN trucks,” said Gary Buckell, fleet manager at Foley & Miles. “They have always worked hard for us, and have a striking on-road presence. This latest fleet replaces a competitor marque for MAN and the trucks are already showing good fuel returns.”
