Aztek Logistics has opened a fifth warehouse in Letchworth Garden City after seeing a surge in demand including a double-digit increase in service enquiries over the past three months.
The warehouse acquisition is also in preparation for the repercussions of a no-deal Brexit, if the UK crashes out of the EU in January next year.
The Hertfordshire-based logistics, distribution and warehousing firm, which is a member of the Pallet-Track network has increased warehouse space to 140,000sq ft since this latest acquisition.
The company also holds accreditations from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and the the Organic Food Federation as well as FORS Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Stuart Charter, founder and MD of Aztek Logistics, said: “Acquiring the additional warehouse space is just the beginning of the next phase of growth for us here at Aztek.
“With the business growing more and more each year, we have big plans to reconfigure our current site to optimise space and enable a greater offering to our new and existing customers.
“While Covid-19 has taken up a lot of head and heart space, we also have to continue thinking about the repercussions of a no-deal Brexit and the likelihood that we will receive even greater demand for our services.”
During the pandemic the company has provided free warehouse space to the NHS for PPE equipment and delivered specialist flooring to Nightingale hospitals across the UK.
