Former staff of Gulliver’s Truck Hire, which entered into administration last year, have been successful in their claim for compensation after the company failed to properly consult with them. Bristol-based contract hire rental firm Gulliver’s Truck Hire is growing rapidly, and made the Top 20 in the 2015 CV Informer league table of top rental companies with almost 6,000 assets, up from number 27 in 2013.
The demise of Gulliver’s Truck Hire in December last year was triggered by an increasingly competitive market, falling demand for trucks and vans and “issues” with the firm’s three axle tractor units, according to the firm’s administrators.
