Privately-owned logistics and global trade management provider Uniserve has been awarded a long-term logistics contract with Meaco, a British company which specialises in supplying air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
Uniserve’s brief as Meaco’s warehousing and logistics partner is to accommodate Meaco’s current volumes, seamlessly support future expansion initiatives, handle high-volume agile operations with precision and flexibility, and provide high-level warehouse security.
Operating from Uniserve’s 155,000sq ft multi-user warehouse facility in Northampton, Uniserve will fulfil Meaco’s B2B and B2C orders, as well as managing the businesses product returns. Uniserve will also provide ambient storage for over 6,000 pallet locations.
In addition, Uniserve will manage Meaco’s delivery requirements for all B2B outbound transport requirements and B2C distribution will be enhanced by facilitating evening cut off times and increasing dispatches to seven days a week.
