Wilson James has gained Fors Champion status through development of a delivery management system that displays operators’ Fors accreditation to ensure only compliant trucks are used for delivery to construction sites. Sir Peter Hendy, commissioner at TfL, opened the fourth meeting of the Construction Logistics and Cycle Safety (Clocs) initiative with an admission: “I did not expect this activity to grow as quickly as it has.” He added later in his keynote speech: “You all work on relatively thin margins but you’re bursting with ideas about how to make things safer.”
TfL is inviting operators to head to London’s Excel for the fifth Clocs progress exhibition taking place on 23 March.
Fors has signed up Licence Bureau, the driver licence checking service, to provide operators with a system to ensure drivers have the correct licences and qualifications.
