Yodel has appointed Mike Cooper as its CEO, after his predecessor Neil Lloyd stepped down last July. APC Overnight has reported larger parcel volumes this year as well as a greater uplift on its busiest day, after seeing increases in both turnover and pre-tax profit last year.
Online retail giant Amazon has predicted that the busiest day for online shopping orders will be Monday 2 December, which is likely to trigger an increase in volumes handled by parcel carriers.
A 55% rise in turnover at Norbert Dentressangle’s UK group company Norbert Dentressangle Logistics was achieved last year as a result of cost reductions, new business and the first full year’s effect of the acquisition of TDG in October 2011.
