Europa's-new-site

Europa Worldwide has officially moved its Erith operation into a £30m HQ and logistics hub at Prologis Park in Dartford, Kent.

The 290,000ft² facility is the company’s biggest single investment to date. It features more than 204,000ft² of warehousing and logistics space shared between its storage and European transit operations.

It comprises a total racked storage capacity of 25,000 pallet spaces, with racking built to accommodate pallets up to eight levels. In addition, a further 28,450ft² area split over two mezzanine floors will be used for pick and pack and assembly operations.

The site was built by land and property developer Prologis, which signed a deal with Europa in January 2014.

Andrew Baxter, MD at Europa Worldwide, said.  “We’re delighted to be in our new home and I want to thank the Europa team who made it possible -   many of the staff gave up their free time over the bank holiday weekend to help with the move.”

All of Europa’s customers with a logistics operation running out of its previous site in Erith have moved to the new Dartford facility.

The company also revealed it is poised to announce the securing of three contracts.

Motortransport.co.uk recently interviewed Baxter on the company's growth plans.
