Farrall’s Transport has appointed Jim Perry (pictured) as its new MD, following a restructure of its senior management team.
Former MD Mike Farrall will take on the role of company chairman.
The Chester-based operator said the management shuffle follows a period of “exponential growth” in the business, including a £3.5m investment in its Deeside warehousing facility.
Perry told MotorTransport.co.uk: “The business is going through an exciting phase of development that will enhance our position in the market place and I am looking forward to leading a committed, dynamic and extremely focused team in delivering best in class solutions and service.”
Farrall added: “Jim brings a wealth of industry logistics experience to the business and aligned with my experience, industry knowledge and the existing strong team at Farrall’s, we will be well placed to support, develop and grow our existing valued client base along with new business integration prospects.”
Perry has spent 22 years working in logistics, managing both transport and warehousing functions across a variety of industry sectors, most recently working in a contract consultancy capacity.
