Arrow XL has announced two senior appointments as part of its strategic growth plans.

Bryan Towse has been recruited as general manager of the two-man delivery specialist’s main hub in Wigan, and will be responsible for managing relationships with key clients and suppliers to drive growth across the organisation. He will also be in charge of health and safety, people management and training.

Towse previously worked at DHL for the past nine years as regional general manager (northern region) within the two-man home delivery division.

He said of his new role: “I hope that I can use my previous relationships with clients and third-party customers within the industry in order to further strengthen the focus and performance of the business.”

John Webb has also joined Arrow XL as a final mile manager, who will be focusing on out-base support and subcontractor development.

He joins the company from DX where he held the role of national operations and training manager for more than 10 years.

Webb said: “I was attracted to Arrow XL as I was looking for a new challenge within a fast-paced, dynamic company. What singled out Arrow XL was its customer centric ethos, which places the customer at the heart of everything they do.”

Arrow XL CEO Ian Howell added: “It is a great pleasure to welcome both Bryan and John to the team. With major plans for 2015, we are confident that their depth of knowledge and experience spanning many areas of the industry, will help us grow.”
