Hermes has appointed Mark Pettit as sales and marketing director, replacing Gary Winter. Pettit joins Hermes from Regus Group, where he was global business and product director. Former Cert Octavian chief executive Anthony Finlayson-Green has joined Crawley-based operator Eezehaul as a non-executive chairman. Finlayson-Green , who is currently chief executive at storage firm Apex Linvar, joins Eezehaul as its looks to strengthen its position in the contract logistics market. John Lewis has awarded a three year contract to Hermes, which will see the parcel carrier handle 48-hour home deliveries for parcels under 15kg. Parcels will be collected from the retailer’s regional depots six days per week and delivered to Hermes’ national hub in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, where they will be sorted.
