Abbey Logistics Group has announced the appointment of Karl Hudson as operations director of its tanker division.
Hudson has extensive experience of the UK bulk liquids market, as a former MD of privately owned fuel distribution firm TankPlus, which was acquired in 2012 by Brit European.
Most recently Hudson was account director at Norbert Dentressangle, where he was responsible for the firm’s Comah warehousing sites in the UK.
Hudson also has experience of construction logistics and purchasing after working as supply chain director in Aggregate Industries’ building products division.
Hudson replaces Mark Lucy, who stepped down from the position in November to take up a part-time role in the firm as an operations analyst.
