Bulk logistics service provider Royal Den Hartogh Logistics has appointed Jo Dixon to be its new general manager, overseeing 350 staff in the UK.

The Dutch chemicals, gas and food transport company said Dixon came with a “wealth of experience” and had previously been instrumental in building its procurement team in the UK.

She is keen to champion women in logistics and has called for the industry to promote more career opportunities for women, as well as encouraging diversity and inclusivity.

“I relish the challenges of working within the dynamic logistics industry and I am ambitious to continue to learn and grow whilst making a valuable contribution to the business,” Dixon said.

“I will always aim to support all women who wish to fulfil their ambitions in the logistics sector, despite all the obstacles.”
