Hicks Logistics has joined the Fortec pallet network covering parts of the Bristol postcode.
The Caldicot, Monmouthshire firm, is sharing the postcode area with existing Fortec member Arthur Spriggs & Sons, with the intention of enhancing the network’s offer in that region.
Terry Hicks, MD of the firm that shares his name and sees a lot of work via the construction industry, said: “We are delighted to join the Fortec Distribution Network as part of our plans to expand our customer care.”
Hicks Logisitcs is celebrating 35 years in business and has a 60-strong fleet of vehicles (half of which are low-loaders) operating out of a 25,000ft² site. It is the first time the operator has been in a pallet network.
The company is currently building a 20,000ft² warehouse to support its pallet network work.
One of the firm’s customers is access platform hire and rental firm UK Platforms. Other customers include Premier Forest Products and Sports Direct.
Fortec has recently made two key appointments to its executive team.
