Bibby Distribution is creating 50 new jobs after it doubled the capacity of its Max Park site in Corby by snapping up a neighbouring 212,500ft² warehouse.
The move, which ramps up the Max Park site’s capacity to 424,000ft² making it its largest 3PL distribution campus, has followed surging customer demand in the food sector.
The new ambient warehouse will provide space for 60,000 pallets and will manage work from a variety of manufacturing and retail groups such as Morrisons, HiPP and Mizkan.
Nigel Tullett, corporate and strategy development director at Bibby Distribution, said: “Max Park has been the lynchpin of our operations in the East Midlands as we support ever growing customer demand.
"The new warehouse facility means we now have significantly more capacity in our operational centre-of gravity, and by sharing management resources across the Corby Campus, we are ensuring the expansion is highly cost-effective.”
“By doubling our Corby warehousing provision, we are poised to grow strategically providing customers with both operational flexibility and scalability.
The Max Park site provides a central hub for Bibby’s operations in the East Midlands with prime links to the M1 and M6.
