Baxter Freight is on a recruitment drive as part of plans to grow its turnover from £18m to £30m by 2021.
The company, which employs 70 staff, runs daily services from its consolidation centres in Yorkshire and Northamptonshire, covering 70 depots in continental Europe and the Nordic region. It also delivers full and part loads in the UK and in Europe and has launched air, ocean and courier divisions.
The freight firm, which was launched in 2014, wants to see employee numbers increase to 120 over the next year and plans to accommodate them by expanding its headquarters in Nottingham by 5,000 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft.
The strategy, dubbed Fast Forward, has also strengthened the management team by promoting four management staff.

Managing director Peter Isler said: “As we accelerate our growth and invest in people and premises, this is one of the most exciting phases in Baxter Freight’s development and the most beneficial for our customers.
“Our focus is and always will be on delivering market-leading customer service, supported by the most competitive logistics solutions, so that we can build long-term relationships. To have achieved this growth against the background of uncertain political and economic times is testament to our fantastic team.”
