Tuffnells relationship with TIP continues to blossom, with the rental and leasing firm supplying a batch of new trailers as well as handling a major de-fleet programme for the parcels firm.
The latest tandem axle box van trailers and curtainsiders are all based on an SDC chassis, with fleet additions late this year comprising SDC and Don-Bur brands.
TIP has also helped dispose of Tuffnells’ older trailers, which it said resulted in cost savings.
The relationship is based on a partnership that began four years ago when TIP first took over the maintenance of their trailer and drawbar fleet.
Simon Parsons, Tuffnells services director, said: “Our rolling upgrade plan is well under way, and our relationship with TIP has been integral to this, helping to deliver the fleet we need for the future.”
