Pall-Ex Group has hired Marc Batey (pictured) as its head of network for Scotland, the north of England and Ireland.
Batey joins Pall-Ex from Menzies Distribution, where he held the role of operations manager. Previous posts include transport manager at Menzies Distribution and logistics team leader at Thales Logistics, a role which saw him responsible for logistics and distribution roles in a number of warzones.
In his new role at Pall-Ex, Batey will be responsible for building relationships with members to create a stronger network, attracting new members to both Pall-Ex and Fortec, driving service improvement and strengthening the network’s position in Scotland and the north of England.

Sue Buchanan, group network director said: “This is a pivotal role in the business and cements our commitment to Scotland and the North of England. Our membership is the backbone to our business so having a driving force in the form of Marc on board will help take us forward in these regions.”
