Palletforce members EDS Couriers, Stones Distribution and Griffins Logistics have all expanded their depot facilities. Cannock-based EDS Couriers has relocated to a 2.5 acre depot after a £3m investment in new premises and equipment, which includes a £194,000 purpose-built canopy to house Palletforce trucks. A dividend of nearly £5m is to be shared out among Palletforce’s 86 member shareholder members as part of the biggest pay out in the network’s 13 year history.
Palletforce’s recent reorganisation of its East Midlands coverage saw H Beardsley exit the network, to be replaced by Lockwood Haulage and Nelson Distribution. This is the first time these two well-established operators have joined a pallet network as Steve Hobson reports.
