Two-man delivery outfit Arrow XL has launched a new premium service for customers.

Arrow XL Platinum will give customers the option of having their goods installed in their home as part of the delivery service, including white goods, electronics, or furniture assembly.

Adam Jones, business development director for the new service, said: “Today’s purchaser of high end products has significant disposable income and while they may be cash rich, they are often time poor.

“As well as a premium product, they also want tight delivery timelines, unpacking, installation, demonstration of controls, and the removal of all packaging.  And we’ll even remove the old furniture for reuse or recycling.”

Last year Arrow XL chief executive Ian Howell told Motortransport.co.uk that giving its customers “VIP treatment” is one of the company’s key targets.

He said: “Our purpose is to make our customers feel special and give them the VIP treatment. Our Platinum service really fits in with that. We even roll out a red carpet to protect their property.”

Arrow XL recently launched its consumer app AskAXL, which whittles delivery slots down to two hours each. The company said this has “set a benchmark” for the two-man delivery sector.
