Chairman and former MD of the Suttons Group Michael Sutton has died aged 66, after a short illness. Widnes-based Sutton Group has acquired Imperial Tankers, the bulk chemical transport arm of Hargreaves, creating a single bulk tanker fleet of some 700 units with a combined turnover of approximately £114m from UK operations alone.
John Sutton is the grandson of Suttons Group founder Alf Sutton, who started trading in 1926 with a horse and cart.
