Thames Valley parcel firm Delivered is expanding its truck and van fleet after seeing an increase in volumes just a few months after its launch.

MD Jon Barber said the firm is currently seeing similar volumes as in the run-up to Christmas in both its parcels and pallets operations.

It has also seen an increase in pallet volumes from Panasonic and is processing around 100 pallets a night, up from 80 this time last year [at Scarlet Couriers]. It covers the Slough area for pallet network TPN.

In response to demand, Delivered has bought five new Citroen Relay vans, which will run in APC Overnight's livery from its Slough depot. It is also hoping to complete a deal with Ryder to lease 10 more trucks for its trunking operation.

Barber said: "It’s been terrific. We are up 20% on the numbers we did this time last year [with previous firm Scarlet Couriers]. We’re hoping and expecting good things this year."

Delivered was launched last Autumn following the sale of Scarlet Couriers to CitySprint in June.
