Clipper Logistics has had its contract with womenswear retailer Whistles renewed by four years.
The deal covers the receipt of products from suppliers at Clipper’s Milton Keynes facility and distribution of its entire product range to 120 retailers and online shopping customers worldwide.
Following a review of Whistles’ supply chain, the new part of the contract will see Clipper receive garments in flat-packed form. It will also provide a range of value-added services - including quality control, steaming and hanging- so that garments arrive at stores ready to go onto the shop floor.
The renewal will also support the retailer's plans to expand worldwide, including supporting the launch of its menswear range.
Clipper plans to increase the size of its workforce at its Milton Keynes site to help cope with the expected growth in volumes over the contract term.
Executive chairman Steve Parkin said: “Whistles has been a real success story and we look forward to this contract continuing to grow over the coming years as the business reaches its next major milestones.”
Last month, Clipper won new business with fashion retailer ME+EM and a contract with Philip Morris.
