Royal Mail has signed a new contract with River Island, building on the work it already does handling the retailer’s customer returns.
The two year contract will see Royal Mail collect customer deliveries from River Island’s main warehouse in Milton Keynes and deliver them to homes across the UK.
Royal Mail’s Tracked 48 service will be at the heart of the operation, after the company made numerous improvements to it last year, including maximum parcel weight and compensation rules.
Roger Morris, head of parcels at Royal Mail, said: “We are delighted that River Island has expanded its suite of Royal Mail delivery services to include our Tracked 48 service building on our successful relationship and its use of our Tracked Returns service.
“We take customer service very seriously and as their chosen delivery partner we are committed to delivering their brand promise on their behalf.”
