Trans Haul (Europe) has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, according to a Companies Court filing.

The Dunstable-based logistics operator filed the notice on 22 June and is represented by restructuring advisers Neil Money and Steven Glanvill of law firm Freeths.

Trans Haul (Europe), which launched in April 2005, provides road haulage, warehousing, fulfilment and contract packing services.

Based in Bedfordshire, the family-led firm operates services including UK and European transport, pallet distribution, warehousing, inventory management, e-commerce fulfilment and reverse logistics. Its customers span sectors including manufacturing, retail and distribution.

It has an operating licence for 21 trucks and 41 trailers and employs around 40 staff. Nigel Machado is listed as the sole director of the company in Companies House.

Until October 2009 Trans Haul (Europe) was a dormant company. In November 2009 it was used in a pre-pack deal to transfer the assets of Trans Haul (UK), which had gone into administration, following the loss of a major contract at its dedicated site in Pitstone for airline Lufthansa.

A notice of intention to appoint administrators is a formal step that provides a period of protection while directors and advisers consider the company’s options.

A request by MT for a comment from the company has yet to receive a response.
