Thetford-based Team C Express Logistics, which is a member of the the APC delivery network, has been recognised as Depot of the Year for a fifth time at the APC’s annual awards ceremony.

The annual celebration saw members of the APC’s 100-plus depots and national hub come together to award the achievements and professional successes of individuals and depots over the past year. This year’s event also celebrated the 30th anniversary of the APC.

Team C Express Logistics was awarded the National Depot of the Year award thanks to continued excellent service to the network and positive sales growth of 24% year-on-year.

In order to support the significant growth of the business and its customers, the East Anglian firm has made a number of investments in its business and has recently expanded its operation to two neighbouring units, trebling its site to approximately 100,000 sq ft.

The business joined the APC network in 1997 and its overnight service now accounts for 50% of the firm’s operations, with Team C also offering pallet services and pick, pack and storage facilities to its expanding SME customer base, ranging from e-commerce, garden and pet food suppliers.

Since joining the APC network, Team C Express Logistics has gone on to win the Depot of the Year award five times, attributing its success to its team of long-standing employees, many of whom have been with the business for over 10 years.

The company said the longevity of service amongst its team members has enabled Team C to foster strong relationships with its customers and also fellow colleagues across The APC network.

Commenting on the award, Tim Clements, Team C Express Logistics MD believes that “experienced and knowledgeable local customer services”, ensures customers and network members gain an immediate response, which “has always been a key to our success and will remain a priority”, crediting his people as “the company’s biggest strength” and a “key factor in the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers”.

Against a challenging landscape for all UK businesses, the awards highlighted Team C Express Logistics’ continued commitment to the SME community, as well as the collaborative partnerships that they have built with fellow depots across The APC network.
