Dash Express has opened a new 8,500sq ft site in Saltash, Plymouth as the Dash Group continues to grow, with turnover set to reach £20m this year.

The new site, one of five within The Dash Group, is twice the size of the previous site, allowing the business, which is an APC member, to expand on its overnight and same-day delivery, pallet distribution and warehousing fulfilment services to local businesses across Cornwall and Devon.

The company said the new facility will support the growth of overnight parcel delivery and improve operational efficiency, aided by the APC network’s nationwide coverage, which allows it to widen its national customer base. Dash Group has repurposed the previous site for its vehicle rental business, Dash Drive.

The Dash Group, which has its headquarters in Redruth, Cornwall, has also added five new electric vehicles to its fleet, with plans to make further investments into EV charging infrastructures across its sites.

Paul Dash, Dash Group operations director, said: “Since joining The APC network, we’ve seen a growing demand for parcel services, and we’ve had the opportunity to support many fantastic local businesses across the region and expand our SME customer base.

“At Dash Group, we are dedicated to understanding and meeting the evolving needs of our customers and this investment in our new site marks our ongoing commitment to supporting their continued growth.”

Jonathan Smith, APC chief executive, added: “Across our network, we have and always will be strong believers in championing SME’s across the country.

“The Dash Group’s continued investment into the future of its business and sustainability initiatives is testament to its commitment to strengthening local service, fostering collaborative partnerships and building for the future growth of our customer base.”
