Sustainable wooden pallets pooler IPP has promoted three members of staff to its leadership team, following a growth surge, the company announced this week.

Coventry-headquartered IPP has promoted James Goode to strategic operations manager, Elliot Burnett to head of logistics and Marc Williams to head of asset management.

All three will report to UK&I operations director David Bage.

The company said the promotions come as part of a “rapid period of growth in the UK “, as well as its commitment to developing its staff’s potential.

Goode (pictured left), who has worked at IPP for 15 years, will focus on transformation, including driving the company’s supply chain strategy and digitalisation

He said: “I’ve been with IPP for many years, originally joining at entry level straight out of university. I’ve been extremely fortunate that every few years a new opportunity has arisen, allowing me to continue developing and progressing. My journey so far has taken me through many roles and now through to strategic operations manager.

“This new position allows me to focus most of my time on transformation. Amid the current digital revolution, particularly around AI and connected supply chains, I’m genuinely excited to explore how IPP can harness and capitalise on these technologies to strengthen our network and service offering.”

Burnett (pictured right) has more than 20 years’ experience in driving transformation and operational excellence across the UK and Europe.

His new role as head of logistics at IPP will see him lead and manage a team of more than 130 suppliers, ensuring service quality, compliance and efficiency. He will also be responsible for transport solutions, and annual budgets.

Burnett, who has worked at IPP for nearly two years, said: “In this new role, I’m most excited about the opportunity to lead a large-scale logistics operation where I can truly influence strategy and performance.

“I’m passionate about building high-performing teams, developing strong supplier partnerships, and delivering measurable improvements in service, cost and sustainability.

“I look forward to using my background in operations, project management and continuous improvement to create a lean, collaborative logistics network that delivers value for both the business and its customers.”

New head of asset management, Marc Williams (pictured centre) has been with IPP for 14 years and will work to oversee pallet returns, manage relationships with retailers and reduce pallet loss across the UK and Ireland.

He commented: “Having worked across the service centre and asset team over the years, I plan to bring the two teams closer together to work more cohesively. I am also looking forward to being involved in business discussions at a higher level and helping the business grow and progress with new upcoming projects and ventures.”

Operations director David Bage , who will oversee the leadership team in their new roles, said: “James, Elliot and Marc have a wealth of knowledge in their various departments and are perfect to help deliver sustainable growth and transformation at IPP.

“We’re incredibly proud of the progression we offer here at IPP, that our people have great opportunities to progress in the business.

“We are hugely excited to see the teams continue to develop alongside the business.”
