Hutchinson Transport has secured a multi-year contract with GreenChem Solutions to operate dedicated bulk tankers on its UK AdBlue distribution network, marking a key commercial win following the company’s recent management buyout.
The agreement will see Hutchinson Transport support deliveries to truck and bus operators, forecourts, agricultural users and commercial sites nationwide, strengthening supply across a critical part of the commercial vehicle fuel additives market.
The deal is the first major contract secured since brothers Rhys and Nathan Hutchinson completed a management buyout of Hutchinson Transport and Hutchinson Technical Services on 1 April 2026, taking control of the family business founded by their parents, Bruce and Gill Hutchinson.
Rhys Hutchinson said the company’s structure allowed decisions to be made quickly and close to operations, with direct oversight of drivers, fleet and workshop teams helping to deliver responsive service.
He said this approach was a key factor in securing the GreenChem contract, adding that customers benefit from direct access to senior decision-makers without delays or multiple layers of approval.
The operation will be supported by Hutchinson Technical Services, the group’s IRTE-accredited workshop business with sites in Middlesbrough, Hull and Runcorn. The company said in-house engineering capability would be critical to maintaining uptime and reliability on time-sensitive distribution work.
GreenChem Solutions sales engineer and account manager Jack Haynes said Hutchinson’s professionalism, communication and technical capability had been central to the award of the contract. He added that the strength of its workshop support provided confidence that any issues could be resolved quickly and effectively.
Hutchinson Transport operates bulk chemical and tanker services across the UK under long-term contracts with industrial and specialist liquid customers.
