FORS Annual Conference to tackle AI, cyber risks and new fleet standards

The FORS Annual Conference 2026 will bring fleet operators together this month to examine how technology is changing the way transport businesses operate.

Taking place at the ICC Birmingham on 29 September, this year’s conference will focus on ‘Navigating the digital road ahead’, with sessions covering artificial intelligence, data and telematics, cyber security, autonomous vehicles and the changing FORS Standard.

Logistics UK’s Jemma James will examine how digitisation is transforming operating cultures and supply chains, while Sopra Steria’s Frank Born will look at how AI can help fleet managers identify risks, improve compliance and make better decisions.

The programme will also tackle the risks that come with increasingly connected fleets, with LMP Legal considering data and telematics and Aon looking at cyber resilience for fleet operators.

The afternoon will turn to autonomous vehicle technology before a panel discussion brings together technology suppliers and operators to debate the practical implications of new technology for fleets.

The conference will close with a session on FORS Standard Version 8 and what’s changing for operators, alongside an update from FORS on its latest news, achievements and strategic priorities. The event will also feature the FORS Operator Awards and networking opportunities throughout the day.

Motor Transport is the media partner for the event and will be covering the conference, with coverage planned across MT’s print, digital and social channels.

The conference is open exclusively to FORS-accredited operators.
