Hutchinson Transport has landed another UK distribution contract with Univar Solutions after impressing the chemicals distributor with its performance on an existing agreement.
The new contract will see the Middlesbrough family firm transport solvents from Univar’s Cadishead facility to customers across the UK.
The award follows the management buyout of the business in April this year, which was led by Rhys and Nathan Hutchison, sons of the founders Bruce and Gill Hutchinson.
It builds on an established relationship under which Hutchinson already provides nationwide distribution for a range of Univar speciality chemical products.
The tanker operator said this latest deal expands its role with Univar into UK solvent distribution and provides further evidence of its ability to support chemical manufacturers and distributors that require responsive planning, consistent communication and firm operational control.
