Temperature-controlled vehicle rental business FridgeXpress is accelerating its national expansion with five new locations across the country.

The new locations, in Glasgow, Stockton, Crawley, Bristol, and Barking, extend FridgeXpress’s reach beyond its Rugby headquarters and add to the wider group’s existing network of 68 dedicated workshops across the UK.

The company said the expansion will enable it to better service its southern-based customers more efficiently.

The new sites offer faster rental response times and improved access to FridgeXpress’ refrigerated van hire services.

Each new location will provide temperature-controlled vehicles for immediate hire.

FridgeXpress offers both chilled and frozen vehicle hire solutions to businesses of all sizes, offering both short-term and long-term options with rapid vehicle availability.

In addition to expanding its national footprint, FridgeXpress customers are now benefiting from the company’s partnership with sister company Blakedale to access HGV fridge vehicle hire options for the first time.

This includes the recent introduction of bespoke 7.5-tonne and 18-tonne refrigerated trucks.

The vehicles, which are designed and built in partnership with Blakedale’s specialist bodybuilder network, are fully customised to meet the demands of chilled and frozen logistics operations., expanding customer choice.

FridgeXpress is part of the Northgate Businesses Group. This allows customers to access Northgate’s national network and support infrastructure, alongside the ‘One Road’ initiative, which provides a single point of contact across FridgeXpress, Blakedale, and Northgate Vehicle Hire.

Adam Naylor, FridgeXpress MD, said: “We’re excited to open five new sites, giving more customers across the UK faster access to our temperature-controlled rental solutions.

“With the added capability to now offer HGVs through our partnership with Blakedale, FridgeXpress is continuing to evolve to meet the changing needs of chilled and frozen logistics operators.”
