FLS Group has strengthened its leadership team to support its growth plans in the UK and mainland Europe.

The company, which recently changed its name from Freight Logistics Solutions to FLS Group, is based in Pontypool, South Wales and specialises in contract logistics, road transport, customs brokerage, and digital logistics.

FLS Group said the promotions reflect the company’s commitment to strengthening its core services, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting its expansion into European markets with the recent acquisition of Logiquanta, a Lithuanian logistics company.

The move sees Dafydd Rosser appointed as MD of Connect by FLS. In his new role, Rosser will oversee the end-to-end logistics outsourced service, with a brief to ensure operational excellence and client satisfaction for high-volume shippers.

FLS said Rosser brings a wealth of experience in logistics management and will drive Connect’s expansion and enhance service delivery.

Gavin Clarke has been named MD of Forward by FLS, the company’s UK road transport service. FLS said Clarke brings “extensive expertise” in transport logistics and is tasked with growing Forward’s footprint and enhancing its responsive service model.

A third promtion sees Chris Williams appointed as group financial director. He will be responsible for overseeing FLS Group’s financial strategy, ensuring robust fiscal management and supporting the growth initiatives across the group.

He will also drive FLS Group’s digital evolution and support the rollout of technology-driven services across its brands.

Ieuan Rosser, FLS Group chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to announce these well-deserved promotions, which reflect the dedication and expertise of our team. Each leader brings invaluable experience to their role, and their contributions will be pivotal as we expand FLS Group’s presence in Europe and continue to deliver exceptional logistics solutions. These appointments will ensure that our services remain robust, responsive, and aligned with the evolving needs of our clients.”
