Digital road freight and logistics provider FLS Group has launched a new customs portal designed to simplify compliance, strengthen governance and protect UK importers and exporters from costly HMRC audit fines.
The customs portal is suited for both ad hoc and high-volume clients, and provides full visibility and control of all customs activity across road, sea and air freight, helping businesses remain compliant, efficient and audit ready at all times.
At the heart of the new platform is FLS Group’s proprietary Search and Store capability, which allows clients to instantly locate, download and share customs clearances by PO, MRN, customer or date.
All records are securely archived, providing an auditable digital trail that removes the stress of HMRC inspections.
Key features of the customs portal include:
● Search and Store: instant access to customs clearances in one secure, searchable archive.
● Instant sync: clearances automatically appear in the portal once processed by the FLS team.
● Multimodal coverage: one platform for road, sea and air freight.
● Fixed fees: transparent pricing for predictable costs.
● Data analytics: live reporting on customs activity, spend and performance trends.
● Seamless integration: synchronises with FLS Group’s Connect Portal for a unified client experience.
Lewis Green, FLS Group customs manager, commented: “When HMRC arrive and request documentation, many businesses find themselves scrambling for records.
“Our customs portal, powered by Search and Store technology, gives clients control, confidence and compliance at the click of a button.
“It is not about scaremongering, it is about giving businesses the tools to manage customs properly.”
The company said the launch follows a year of strong growth for FLS Group’s customs division, which now supports over 100 businesses across the UK and Europe.
It added that clients using the portal have already reported “significant time savings and improved visibility, with one manufacturer citing a 70% reduction in admin time and greater assurance during audits”.
Ieuan Rosser, chief executive of FLS Group, said: “The Customs Portal is another example of how FLS Group is using technology to solve real-world logistics challenges.
“It delivers compliance, efficiency and peace of mind, exactly what businesses need in today’s trading environment.”
