DPD UK has promoted chief operating officer Justin Pegg to the role of chief executive of DPD UK, replacing Elaine Kerr who has been appointed chairwoman.

Announcing the appointments, the parcel delivery firm said Kerr will continue to help guide and shape DPD UK’s overall strategic direction, working closely with the UK’s executive board.

Pegg has over 35 years of service at DPD and has been a member of the senior leadership team since 2016 and an executive director since 2020.

In his new role, effective of today (2 February) Pegg will be CEO of DPD UK, and head of cluster UK/Ireland.

DPD is a member of Geopost, which is part of the La Poste Groupe.

The company operates more than 10,000 vehicles in the UK from 85 locations and delivers over 360 million parcels a year.

Currently, 38% of DPD’s total van fleet is electric, while the 1,600 strong HGV fleet is predominantly fuelled by HVO, with the company on track to be Net Zero by 2040.
