Eight in ten Brits see their local delivery driver more than their loved ones, new national research has revealed.
The survey of 2,000 people, was undertaken by survey provider Prolific this month on behalf of parcel service Speedy Parcels, which is part of Speedy Freight.
It found that 79% of Brits see their delivery driver more than some of their loved ones, with nine in ten (89%) of those surveyed reporting they see them at least once a week.
More than a third (35%) said they see their delivery driver more than their parents, almost half (48%) more than their best friend and one in twenty (5%) reported seeing their local delivery person more often than their partner.
Elsewhere, the study revealed that almost a third of Brits see their delivery driver more than five times a week, with nearly one in ten (9%) admitting to seeing them every single day.
Speedy Parcels offers businesses flexible collection times seven days a week in partnership with several freight and parcel carriers offering domestic and international services.
Peter Board, Speedy Parcels head of carrier management, said: “In today’s day and age, our delivery drivers and postal workers are busier than ever before. Therefore, it’s no surprise our survey revealed most of the UK see their driver at least once a week.
“At Speedy Parcels, we’re used to seeing regular customer faces daily. Our customers are at the forefront of everything we do, which is why customer service and being a friendly face are part of our key core values they can rely on.
“With that in mind, we aim to deliver flexible and efficient delivery services for businesses, as well as providing customers with a hassle-free process.”
