DX Group, which specialises in parcel freight, secure courier, two-person and logistics services, is launching a new depot in Maidstone, Kent.
The new facility is part of the group’s expansion of its parcels business, which operates within the DX Express division, and offers highly secure, tracked deliveries to businesses and consumers.
The new depot will provide additional capacity for DX’s parcels network in the South-East.
Located on a 1.3 acre site on St Michaels Close, Aylesford, it is in easy reach of both the M2 and M20 motorways.
DX said the depot’s opening will reduce stem mileage and carbon emissions, and improve operational efficiencies and enhance customer service levels, which the group said is a key focus for the business.
This latest opening takes the total number of depots in the DX Express network to 42, of which eight were opened in 2023.
This latest development forms part of DX’s ongoing capital investment programme in the business, which underpins its plans to continue driving the group’s growth and development.
Paul Ibbetson, DX Group chief executive, commented:“We are pleased to add this new depot in Maidstone to our DX Express division as part of our continued investment in the business.
“The new depot will enhance our position in the South East, increasing the capacity and capability of our parcels operation.
“It will deliver further efficiencies to our operations and provide local customer service benefits a priority for the Group. It will also lower carbon emissions by reducing stem mileage.
“We look forward to integrating this new depot into our existing network and continually improving the service offering that we provide to our customers.”
