DX has boosted its executive leadership team with the appointment of former Howard Tenens director Karl Hodgkinson, who will take on the role of DX’s director of strategic growth – new propositions and integrated solutions.

The newly created role will focus on identifying and developing new growth opportunities for the logistics group, including expansion into new sectors and customer segments and the introduction of new services.

Hodgkinson will also be tasked with identifying opportunities to bring DX’s existing capabilities together to develop additional integrated logistics solutions for customers.

He will work closely with the DX board and other members of the executive leadership team.

The appointment comes as DX continues to pursue its growth strategy following the appointment of chief executive Ian Truesdale in June 2025.

Hodgkinson brings more than 30 years’ experience across the logistics, transport and supply chain sectors, including senior roles covering large-scale logistics operations, business transformation, acquisitions and joint ventures.

He joins DX from Howard Tenens, where he spent the past three years as group development, marketing and innovation director. Prior to that, he was managing director – logistics and commercial.

Commenting on the appointment, Truesdale said: “We are delighted to appoint Karl to the executive leadership Team. His appointment adds further impetus to our growth strategy as we continue to identify new opportunities for DX.

“Karl brings a wealth of experience gained in senior positions across the logistics industry and will be a valuable addition to our leadership team. We have made significant progress over the past year and there is considerable momentum across DX.

“We are ambitious about what comes next and see significant opportunity to build on what we have already achieved. We intend to maintain that pace, continue investing in the business and deliver the next phase of DX’s development.”
