Two-person final-mile delivery firm AIT Home Delivery has seen off competitors to win a delivery contract with mattress manufacturer Tempur.
The contract sees AIT provide a two-person, white glove, direct-to-consumer delivery service for Tempur’s new Ease mattress collection, with faster delivery times for customers.
AIT’s two-person home delivery service offers customers a nominated delivery day from just three working days, including room-of-choice placement, packaging removal, and optional assembly.
Stock is managed by AIT, with inventory held at its Seaham hub and distributed from the nearest depot to ensure fast, flexible fulfilment across the UK.
Manraj Cheema, Tempur e-commerce manager, said: “Being able to offer our new Ease range with a true two-person, white-glove delivery service has been a key factor in choosing AIT Home Delivery as our partner.
“Furthermore, with their help we are able to offer fast delivery within three days which has never been done before. AIT’s premium service and its ability to deliver across the whole of the UK was a key factor in our selection process.
“We also wanted reliability, speed and clear customer communications for our new customer base all of which AIT was able to offer as part of their core service.
“Our goal is to deliver not just a mattress, but a complete experience that reflects the quality of the Tempur brand which we are confident AIT can provide.”
Samuel Scott, AIT sales director for UK and Europe, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Tempur for this launch.
“For a product of this calibre, final-mile delivery is everything. Our nationwide reach, speed and premium two-person service are designed to enhance the customer experience.”
AIT Home Delivery — formerly Panther Logistics — offers next-day and nominated-day options, full customer communication, low-emission fleets, and a white-glove service and works with a range of UK furniture, appliance, and home-living brands.
The Northampton-based company is a subsidiary of AIT Worldwide Logistics, which acquired the company in November 2020 and changed the brand name from Panther Logistics to AIT Home Delivery in 2024, as part of a wider strategy to expand the group’s operations in the UK and Europe.
